An elbow brace is used to treat osteoarthritis in a dog’s elbow joint, as well as to protect against bursitis and dry, cracked skin. Osteoarthritis and skin problems are commonly seen in breeds such as retrievers, Rottweilers, and other large breeds.
Osteoarthritis causes limping in the front leg, difficulty bending the joint, and getting up from a lying position can be challenging.
The brace is easy to put on and usually stays in place well. It keeps the joint warm and reduces the aching and pain caused by osteoarthritis. The brace activates the muscles around the elbow joint and improves joint metabolism.
Usage: The brace is mainly used during the day, but if the dog experiences joint pain or the skin needs protection, it can also be worn at night.
When ordering the brace, measure your dog’s chest circumference just behind the front legs and include it in the “additional information” section at checkout. The measurement doesn’t need to be exact; a few centimeters’ accuracy is sufficient.
The brace is mainly used during the day, but if the dog has joint pain or the skin needs protection, it can also be worn at night.
The fabric used in the brace is durable, padded, and flexible. The brace’s Velcro fastening uses genuine Velcro tape.
